Data Deletion
This page explains, step by step, how to delete data from Temira. It supplements our
Privacy Policy (see §10 Retention and §12 Your rights). Deletion requests can always
be sent to privacy@temira.net.
1. Delete conversations and tickets from your workspace
If you run a Temira workspace, you can erase customer conversations yourself, at any time:
- Sign in at temira.net/portal.
- Open Conversations, select the conversation, and choose Delete. The transcript and its
related records are removed permanently.
- You can also set an automatic retention period in your workspace settings — conversations older
than the period you choose are deleted on schedule.
2. Close your account / delete your workspace
To delete your whole workspace and account, email privacy@temira.net from the email address on the
account (or use the Contact page and choose “Privacy / data request”). We verify the
request, close the account, and delete or de-identify your Customer Content within a reasonable period —
except where we are legally required to retain specific records (e.g. billing), as described in the
Privacy Policy.
3. Connected Meta channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger)
If your workspace was connected to WhatsApp, Instagram or Messenger:
- Disconnect in Temira — in Portal → Channels, clear the channel's credentials and turn it
off. Stored access tokens for that channel are removed from your workspace configuration.
- Revoke on Meta's side — in your Meta Business Settings → Integrations → Connected apps,
remove Temira's app. Meta then stops sending us any data for your number or Page.
- Delete stored messages — channel conversations live in your workspace like any other
conversation; delete them as in section 1, or close the account as in section 2.
Received messages via a business that uses Temira? If you're a customer who
chatted with a business through their website widget or messaging apps, that business controls the
conversation data (we process it on their behalf). Contact the business directly — or write to
privacy@temira.net and we will forward your request and assist, as our
Privacy Policy §3 describes.
4. What deletion covers
Deleting a conversation removes the transcript, extracted context and per-conversation records from the
workspace. Closing an account removes the workspace's knowledge base, uploads, settings, stored channel
credentials and conversations. Security and audit logs are kept for a limited period for account protection,
then deleted or de-identified. Backups cycle out on a fixed schedule.
